Station 91 - Headquarters

The Village of Zionsville is located 15 miles northwest of Indianapolis between US-421 and I-65 in southeastern Boone County. Established in 1930, Zionsville is a combination department that includes 10-12 career firefighters manning two stations each shift. ZFD provides Fire, Rescue and ALS protection to 52 square miles and 25,000 residents including the Village of Zionsville, Eagle and Union Townships.

Zionsville Fire Station 1 - 100 North Ford Road
Station 91 is home to 12 ZFD apparatus and serves as department headquarters. Station 92 was opened in April of 2009 far on the northeast side of the village to provide additional protection to Union Township. A third station is under consideration for the west side in the near future.

E-91 is first-due for all accidents and structure fires from Station 91. It's equipment includes a 10kw generator, Amkus Extrication Tools and an ALS compartment in the cab.

Heavy Rescue 91 - 2010 Spartan Evolution/SVI Custom walk-around Rescue
This amazing vehicle was a showstopper at FDIC 2010. Hours upon hours were spent by department members to design a truck that could grow with the department. With the rapid growth of Zionsville, the department proactively built this truck to serve their future extrication and technical rescue needs.

Ladder 91 - 2003 E-One Cyclone II 95' Mid-mount platform (#125919) - 2000gpm/300gal
E-91 was on display at FDIC 2009. It's graphics package is a sharp and dramatic departure from previous apparatus. With ZFD now a growing career department, members were looking for a new and unique identity for the department's apparatus. Nice work!

Tanker 91 - 1998 Freightliner FL-112/US Tanks - 500gpm/3000 gal


Tanker 93 - 1988 Ford F-800/McGinley - 500gpm/1800gal
Tanker 93 is the second-due tanker from Station 91. It provides water to the unincorporated areas of Eagle Township.

M-91 is the first-due ambulance for ALS/BLS calls from ZFD's central station.

Reserve Medic 94 - 2005 Ford E450/Braun (#4245) ALS Ambulance
This apparatus originally served frontline as Medic 91 until it was reassigned in 2013.

Reserve Medic 95 - 2007 Ford E-450/Braun ALS Ambulance
This apparatus originally served as Medic 92. It has since been moved to reserve status and now resides in the side bays at Station 91. With the addition of ALS service, ZFD's EMS program is under the medical direction of nearby St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

This apparatus is used for the many nature trails throughout Zionsville.

Squad 91 - 2004 Ford Expedition ALS Quick-Response Vehicle
This apparatus originally served as Battalion 9 and was on display at FDIC 2004. With the move to a full-time ALS department, the need for an ALS Squad took priority and this vehicle was reassigned.
