Station 3 - 1136 East Prospect Street - Fountain Square
This smaller station was opened on October 20, 1959. It's bunk and watch rooms are on the main floor, while the kitchen and workout rooms are actually in a basement accessible from the back of the apparatus bay. Station 3 is home to Engine 3 and Battalion 5.

Engine 3 is one of several Engine Companies that can be designated as ALS "Rescue Engine" whenever an IFD paramedic is riding on a particular shift.

This apparatus entered service in December 2014 and replaced as 12-year old American LaFrance.

Battalion 5 - 2011 Ford Expedition Incident Command Vehicle
Battalion 5's district includes the following very busy IFD Stations: 3, 11, 15, 27 and 29 on the city's near east and southeast side. This apparatus was reassigned from Battalion 14 to Battalion 5 on January 1, 2014 as part of a regional renumbering system.
