Station 8 protects the northeast side of Indianapolis along Binford Boulevard (IN-37).

Engine 8 is shown here as it looked just after the Washington Township merger with IFD. This apparatus appeared as a show truck at FDIC 2006 before being delivered in the summer of 2006.

Safety 2 - 2010 Chevy Tahoe 4x4
This rig responds as one of three Safety Chiefs spread across the city. Safety 2 responds from Station 8 and protects the north side of the city including all of Battalion 2 and portions of Battalion 14 and 12. In 2011, several of the chief officer cars were reassigned. The safety officers were moved out of the 2009 Ford pickups and back into a smaller Chevy Tahoes or similar SUVs.
