Indianapolis Fire Department Station 13 - 439 West Ohio Street - Westside Downtown
Know as "Central Station," this firehouse opened on July 31, 1987. Station 13 has first-due responsibilities for much of downtown Indy including Lucas Oil Stadium, the Indiana Convention Center and Conseco Fieldhouse. This scenic firehouse backs up to the Canal and is home to Squad, Engine, Ladder and Tactical 13 along with Battalion 7. Central Station apparatus are also part of the southern Hazmat Task Force at IFD.

Engine 13 was the last of three Ferrara Pumpers delivered to IFD in 2007. It went into service in late July.

This state-of-the-art aerial with it's larger rescue-sized platform replaced an older Grumman Tower in August 2004.

Besides the smoother TAK-4 ride, computerized pumps and ladder controls and a larger cab. The crew really appreciates the CD player that came standard with this rig!

Tactical 13 - 2011 Pierce Arrow XT Heavy Rescue (#24733)
Like many Hazmat apparatus, this rig is a giant tool box on wheels. Tac-13 includes a hydraulic generator and a Command Area that is acceddible from the side-body door. This part of the apparatus includes 2 seats, where the other 2 members of the crew ride.

Squad 13 - 2017 Ford F-550/Custom Truck & Body Works
ALS Rescue Squads are located in high-run districts to relieve the Engine Companies from responding to EMS calls where additional manpower is not needed. Squads are staffed by one FF/EMT and one Paramedic.

Battalion Chief 7 - 2011 Ford Expedition - Command Vehicle
Battalion 13 was reassigned as Battalion 7 on January 1, 2014 as part of the regional renumbering system. Battalion 7 protects downtown Indianapolis and the near west side including stations 1, 7, 13, 18 and 19. BC-7 also commands the southside Hazmat Task Force.
