Indianapolis Fire Department Station 20 - 1452 North Emerson Avenue - Eastside
Opened: September 18, 1952. Station 20 is one of several Engine/Ladder stations that are trained as an "Extrication Task Force." Task Forces carry the necessary equipment for auto extrications and may respond beyond their primary districts to serve this need.

Engine 20 - 2010 Ferrara Igniter Pumper (#H-4679) - 2000gpm/500gal
This apparatus was reassigned from Station 16 to the 20's after Station 16 closed in the summer of 2016. E-20's previous, heavily- used Ferrara was moved to reserve status as a spare Engine.

Ladder 20 - 2014 Pierce Arrow XT 75ft Aerial Ladder (#28034)
Being part of an extrication company, means L20 carries a set of battery powered tools in addition to 119ft of ground ladders. There is seating for 4 plus an EMS compartment in the cab. There’s also a ful LED light package incuding compartment and rung lighting.

This apparatus was on display at FDIC 2009 and entered frontline service on May 20, 2009. E-20 was the first of four Ferrara pumpers delivered to IFD in 2009 and the second order within 2 years. The custom changes on these rigs included painted steel bumpers, roof-mounted spotlights and a slightly lowered body/ladder height.
