Indianapolis Fire Department - Station 44 - 7335 East 30th Street
Dedicated in December 2005, this firehouse was a dramatic improvement in size and usefulness for the apparatus and firefighters at this busy Eastside Hazmat Station. The 44's is typically one of the busiest houses in the city.

Ladder 44 - 2007 Ferrara Igniter HD-107' Aerial (H-3679)
Ladder 44 was the first Ferrara Aerial truck purchased by Indianapolis. It was quickly joined by several others over the next few years including Ladders 10, 22 and 30.

Ladder 44 is unique at IFD. It is the first Ferrara stick and was also designed with a low-profile ladder and cab. This was part of it's original spec when this company ran as Ladder 34 (and their shorter station) before the IFD/Warren Township merger.

Ladder 44's apparatus height is 11’6, a full 19” taller than the two mid-mounts which run at 9’11”. Ladder 44 is also now the tallest aerial ladder in the IFD fleet at 107', with several Pierce 105' rear-mounts tied for second.

Tactical 44 - 1994 Pierce Lance Custom Hazmat Unit w/Command Cab (#E-8485)
With it's mix of busy highways, large commercial corridors and industrial sites, Warren Township is always a potential site for Hazardous Material incidents. It is the centerpiece of the East and Northside Hazmat Task Force which includes Tactical 31 (Decon).

This apparatus was reassigned from Tac-13 to Tac-44 with the arrival of the new Pierce in early spring 2012. It was also repainted with a light mechanical refurb at that time.

This unique rig continued the trend of IFD EMS trying out new designs (both graphics and apparatus). One of the busiest medics in the city, this apparatus entered service in late 2009. It was reassigned to IEMS in 2012 and was restriped to their colors
