Celestine Volunteer Fire Department

The small Town of Celestine is located 128 miles SSW of Indianapolis along IN-164 in east central Dubois County. First organized in 1979, the 26 members of this all-volunteer department respond to 50 runs each year. CVFD provides Fire, Rescue and Medical First-Responder protection to 40 square miles including 1/2 of Hall and Marion Townships.

Celestine Fire Station - State Road 164 & N Celestine Rd.
This firehouse was built in 1980 wihth the left bay added in 1999. It is home to all five CVFD apparatus.

This was the department's first fire truck and only has 21,000 miles on it.

This apparatus replaced a 20 year old Ford L/E-One pumper when it arrived in 2013.

Rescue 205 - 2000 Chevy K3500/Omaha/Miller Truck Body
This apparatus responds with a set of Amkus extrication tools. It is first-due for all vehicle accidents and medical calls.
