The City of Charlestown
is located 25 miles north of Louisville, KY along I-65 in eastern Clark County. Organized in 1955, this all-volunteer department includes 60 members. CVFD provides Fire, Rescue and EMS protection to 93 square miles from 4 stations. |

Squad 9190 - 1997 Ford E-350/Excellence
All Charlestown Ambulances are carry ALS equipment. However, they are not the primary ALS provider for their area (Clark County EMS and Sellersburg FD provide full-time ALS service). While CVFD does have some paramedics, each ambulance is more likely to respond as BLS or first responder depending on personnel. |

Station 2 - Lexington @ Oak - Otisco
Protecting the extreme northern tip of the Township, Station 2 is home to Engine 9230, Rescue 9270, Tanker 9260 and Squad 9290. |

This apparatus began it's career protecting the US Naval Base in Newport, Rhode Island. |
