The Town of Clarksville is located immediately across the Ohio River from Louisville, KY along I-65 in southern Clark County. This combination department includes 32 full-time and 30 volunteer members who respond from 3 stations. CFD provides Fire, Rescue, Hazmat and medical first-responder protection to the Town of Clarksville including portions of I-65 and the Ohio River.
Station 1 - 125 E. Stansifer Avenue - CFD Headquarters
Located in the southeast side of town, Station 1 response area includes the Ohio River and portions of I-65 between mile markers 2 and 7. This station is home to 4 frontline apparatus, a utility truck and the CFD administration offices.
Engine 71 - 2002 Pierce Dash Rescue Pumper - 1500gpm/750gal
E-71 is the first-due apparatus for most incidents at Station 1. This rescue engine is equipped with a full set of extrication tools in addition to it's various firefighting equipment. Engine 71 and Engine 70 are twins that were custom spec'd by the department. The very tall height of these apparatus was designed to accomodate a rear-access tool compartment with storage for pike poles
and a stokes basket above the water tank. A full compliment of 3" line is stored above.
Engine 72 - 1995 Pierce Dash Pumper - 1500gpm/750gal
E-72 is second-due for fire and rescue calls from Station 1. It's primary purpose is to lay additional hose and serve as a pumping unit at fire scenes.
Engine 86 - 1976 Ford C8000/Pierce Pumper - 1000gpm/500gal E-86 serves as the city's reserve pumper and is kept at Station 1.

Engine 70 - 2002 Pierce Dash Rescue Pumper - 1500gpm/750gal Engine 70 responds to the busy commercial corridor along Lewis & Clark Road on the city's northside. This busy company
also protects heavily traveled portions of I-65.
