"Old 500" - 1928 Seagrave Pumper
This picture does not begin to do justice to the quality of this classic truck. It was originally purchased but then rejected by a
department in Texas. Old 500 was then sent as a show truck at the 1930 World's Fair in Chicago. Finally, it was purchased in 1937
by the Town of Jeffersonville and used as the town's frontline engine until replaced by two new trucks in 1953. It was completely
refurbished and restored by members of the department in 1984. When Station 2 was built, a special bay was created in the
administration lobby to show off this great apparatus to all visitors.

Special Thanks to Captain Marty Stengel at Station 2 for his assistance in arranging many of these apparatus for photos
and for providing department background and history.
