Haysville
Community Volunteer Fire Department

The Town of Haysville is located SSW of Indianapolis along US-231 in northern Dubois County. Formed in 1962, this all-volunteer department straddles the line between Daviess and Dubois Counties. The 23 members of HVFD provide Fire and Rescue protection to the Town and surrounding rural areas.

Haysville is located on the south bank of the East Fork of the White River, which is the line between Daviess and Dubois counties.  This new firehouse was built in 1999 just in front of the old building. It is home to all 5 frontline HVFD apparatus.

This rig was the first apparatus purchased new by the department. It continued to serve until 2006 when it was replaced by
the new Ferrara Engine 501 above.
