The Town of Ireland is located 125 miles SSE of Indianapolis along IN-56 in eastern Dubois County. Established in 1960, the 20 members of this all-volunteer department respond to approximately 75 runs each year. MTFD protects 65 square miles including all of Madison Township and much of Boone Township to the north.

The left front of this firehouse was originally built in 1961. The right front was added in 1978. It originally served as a double-wide bay, but now has meeting room & kitchen. A third, three-bay addition was built in the back of the building in 2002.

This tanker was remounted from a 1971 Ford L series.
Brush 903 - 1978 Chevy K30/2001 S&S Trailers/Gerrys Automotive - 65gpm/200gal
This rig previously served as Rescue 903. It's conversion to use as a brush truck was donated by the local Lions Club. A company in Evansville (Gerry's Automotive) created a custom built-in pump and brush package instead of just a basic skid unit.

R905 is the first-due apparatus for all incidents. It various equipment includes medical gear and Amkus Extrication Tools.
