Volunteer Fire Department


The Town of St. Henry is located 135 miles SSE of Indianapolis along I-64 in eastern Dubois County. Organized in 1982, the 19 members of this all-volunteer department respond to approximately 30 runs each year. BVFD is an independent fire department that provides Fire, Rescue and Medical First-Responder protection to portions of Cass and Ferdinand Townships.

Station
St. Henry Fire Station - County Road 110 South and Market Street
Completed in 1996, this firehouse is home to all three SHVFD apparatus.

This rig previously served Holland FD as the Cass Township Engine. It was transferred to St. Henry in 2006. The neighboring
Holland Fire Department responds with both both a Town and a Township Engine.
