Harrison Township
Volunteer Fire Department

Harrison Township is located 35 miles ESE of South Bend between Goshen and Wakarusa in southwest Elkhart County. This rural fire district is mostly farmland and residential including a sizeable Amish and Mennonite Community. This all-volunteer department includes 23 members who respond from two fire stations. HTVFD provides Fire, Rescue and Medical First-Responder protection to 3,000 residents and 25 square miles.
