Blue River Township
Volunteer Fire Department


The Town of Mooreland is located 63 miles east of Indianapolis along US-36 in northeastern Henry County. Organized in 1943, this all-volunteer department includes 19 members who respond to approximately 90 runs each year. BRTVFD provides Fire, Rescue and Medical First-Responder protection to the 10 square miles including the Town of Moreland and Blue River Township.

The Fire Department took over this building in 1961. It now serves as home to all BRTFD apparatus.
