Prarie Township
Volunteer Fire Department


The Town of Mount Summit is located 50 miles east of Indianapolis along US-36 in western Henry County. Organized in 1952, this all-volunteer department includes 22 members who respond to nearly 300 runs each year. PTVFD provides Fire, Rescue and Medical First-Responder protection to the 41 square miles including the Town of Mount Summit and Prarie Township.

Station

Prarie Township Fire Station - Church Street and US 36 - Mount Summit
Completed in 1993, this firehouse is home to all four Prarie Township apparatus.
