Volunteer Fire Department

The Town of Freelandville is located 100 miles southwest of Indianapolis in northeastern Knox County. Currently 25 volunteer members of FVFD provide Fire and Rescue protection to approximately 1,000 residents in the Town of Freelandville and Widner Township. EMS Service is provided locally by Southwest Ambulance Service.

Freelandville Volunteer Fire Department Fire Station - 10 Carlisle Street
Completed in 2000, this firehouse is located right downtown along IN-159 at IN-58. It is home to all 4 FVFD apparatus.

Rescue 14 responds to all medical and accident calls. It carries various rescue tools and extrication equipment.

Until the arrival of Rescue 14, this rig previously responded on all medical calls and accidents.
