Hobart
Fire Department The City of Hobart is located 38 miles southeast of Chicago along US-30 and I-65 in eastern Lake County. Established in 1891, the Hobart Fire Department is now a career department that provides Fire, Rescue and ALS protection to 26,500 residents and 25 square miles. HFD includes 52 career personnel who respond to more than 3,500 runs each year from four stations. HFD also provides some EMS coverage within areas of Lake Station and New Chicago. |

| Station 4 - 7710 S. Colorado Street @ US-30 The apparatus from Station 4 protect the far south side of Hobart including the Busy US-30 commercial corridor. This firehouse is home to Engine 4, Tower 4, Tanker 1 and Ambulances 4 and 5. |
