Volunteer Fire Department
Station 1

Lake Station is located in eastern Lake county along Interstate 80/94 & US-6. The 60 members of this all-volunteer department provide Fire, Rescue, Hazmat & Medical First-Responder protection to 14,000 residents living in an area of 15 square miles.

Station 1 - 3629 Central Avenue
This firehouse is home to Engines 1, 2 and 4 and Rescue 3.

Engine 1 is second-due for all fire calls at Station 1.

Rescue 3 - 1993 Spartan/Darley Walk-In Heavy Rescue
R-3 runs first-out on all MVA and EMS assist calls at Station 1.It is equipped with Hurst extrication tools, cribbing,
lift bags, air bags, hand tools, basic Hazmat supplies and various Medical supplies.
