LaPorte County Hazmat
"Better Living Through Chemistry"

LaPorte County Hazmat is a specialized team that includes 17 volunteer members with a paid director. Three vehicles and two trailers respond to Hazardous Materials incidents throughout all of LaPorte County including all rural and urban areas. Each year the team responds to approximately 50 runs with 15 requiring a full-team response.

The LaPorte County Hazmat Headquarters it located behind the County Fairgrounds on Ziegler Road in LaPorte.

Housed inside HQ, these two units respond together on all calls.

This unit serves as the Director's take-home vehicle and responds to all incidents across the county.
