Argos
Community Fire Protection

The Town of Argos is located 33 miles south of South Bend along US-31 & IN-10. The 30 members of this all-volunteer department run an average of 100 calls per year. AVFD provides Fire, Rescue & Medical First Responder protection to 5,377 residents in the Town of Argos and Green & Walnut Townships, an area of 80 square miles.

Engine 1 is second-due on all fire calls at AVFD. It also carries Res Q Tek extrication tools, Cribbing, Air Bags and Lift Bags.
