Lyford
Volunteer Fire Department

The Town of Lyford is located 80 miles west of Indianapolis along
US-41 in southwest Parke County. Organized in 1956 this department now includes 24 members who respond to 120 runs each year. LVFD provides Fire, Rescue and Medical first-responder protection to nearly 50 square miles and 3,400 residents. Their response area includes the Town of Lyford and the western half of Florida Township.
