Marshall
Volunter Fire Department
The Town of Marshall is located 72 miles west of Indianapolis along IN-236 in northwest Parke County. Established in 1968 this department now includes 20 members who respond to 130 runs
each year. MVFD provides Fire, Rescue and first-responder protection to nearly 76 square miles and approximately
1,000 residents.

Completed in 2005, this firehouse was built right next to the original 2-bay house on the west side of town.
It is home to all
5 MFD apparatus. |

This apparatus was originally run as a rescue vehicle. It was purchased from Fort Myers Beach, FL in 1998. |

Tanker 622 - 1983 Chevy C6000/1993 Custom - 150gpm/1200gal w/3000gal dump tank
This apparatus is schedule to be replaced by a new tanker in late 2008. |

Decon 623 - 2004 Ford F-350/Warner
This rig primarily serves as a support truck and pulls the decontamination trailer for Hazmat incidents.623 carries a full
compliment of medical supplies, a 4-bottle cascade system, 4 air packs and 4 spare bottles, rope rescue
equipment and a defibrillator. |

Decon Trailer - 2004 Detro
Pulled behind Decon 623, the MVFD's trailer carries a hot water heater, emergency lighting and an assortment of
decontamination equipment including 2 tents with showers. |

Rescue 6 - 1993 GMC K3500/Ferrara
This apparatus came to the department from S. Platte FPD in Kansas City, Missouri in 2001. It carries a full set of Hurst extrication
equipment, a combi-tool, cutter, spreader, rams and air bags. It also carries a Stokes basket, a full medical kit and a defibrillator. |
