Petersburg
Volunteer Fire Department

The Town of Petersburg is located 125 miles southwest of Indianapolis along IN-57 and the White River in northern Pike County. The 30 members if this all-volunteer department respond to 300 runs each year from two stations. PVFD provides Fire, Rescue and Medical First-Responder protection to the Town of Petersburg and Washington Township.

Petersburg Fire Station 1 - Walnut Street and 10th
Station 1 serves as PVFD Headquarters and is home to all of their apparatus except for Engine 41. The lower half of this station
was previously occupied by the Water Department. Station #2 is located at the City Services complex in the 100 block of
Cherry Street. The stations are located to provide adequate coverage on each side of the city's bisecting railroad tracks.
