Porter Township The town of Boone Grove is located 64 miles southeast of Chicago along 350 W. & 550 S. in southern Porter County. Originally Established in 1946, the 32 members of PTFD run an average of 300 calls per year. In 2004 Boone Grove VFD & Lake Eliza VFD were merged together to create Porter Township Fire Department. PTFD provides Fire, Rescue & BLS Non-transport protection to 8000 residents living in an a mostly rural area of 42 square miles. |
