Walkerton The Town of Walkerton is located along the US-6 in southwestern St. Joseph County. Established in 1880, this all-volunteer department includes 20 members who respond to 150 runs each year. WVFD provides Fire, Rescue and Medical First-Responder protection to 3500 residents and 24 square miles within the Town of Walkerton and Lincoln Township. |

| 1937 Ford/Darley Pumper - 500gpm/300gal This apparatus served as the first motorized rig at Walkerton. It remained in service until the early 1970's when it was T-boned while blocking traffic at a fire. It was totaled by the insurance company and no longer suitable for fire protection. However, the members purchased the rig and restored it to it's current outstanding show condition. What a beautiful truck! |
