Sugar Creek Fire Department

Sugar Creek is located in West Terre Haute along the Indiana/Illinois border in western Vigo County. Sugar Creek Fire was created with the merger of the West Terre Haute FD Station 41 and Saint Mary of the Woods Fire Department Station 42 in 1997 Sugar Creek now provides Fire, Rescue and BLS protection to Sugar Creek Township including 46 square miles and approximately 2,500 residents.

41's protects the southern half of Sugar Creek's response district including areas along IN-150. It is home to Engine, Ladder, Tanker, Service and Rescue 41 along with serving as department Headquarters.

Engine 41 is the first due apparatus for structure fires in non-hydranted areas in the southern portion of the township. It is also
first-out for accidents, EMS and minor Hazmat cleanup in the southern part of the township.

Ladder 41 runs as a quint. It is first-due from Station 41 on structure fires and fire alarms in hydranted areas. It also runs as
second-due (behind Engine 41) for EMS and accident/extrication calls.
